Summer Sports Camps

Summer sports camps at Second Baptist School bring together exemplary coaches with state-of-the-art athletic facilities to create opportunities for student athletes to grow, learn and improve their skills.

Our camps are open to players of any skill level and intended for students in grades K-8. Each camp offers individualized attention and customized programming to encourage campers to take ownership of their own development.


PLEASE NOTE: The optimum method for registration is by laptop or desktop computer.

Baseball Camp


Coach: Lance Berkman, Rayner Noble and Terry Pirtle

June 3 – 6, 2019 (Monday – Thursday)
Cost: $125
 
The goal of baseball camp is to experience, firsthand, how the Second Baptist School baseball program teaches, practices and plays the game. Athletes will learn what it takes to be successful in the game of baseball as we focus on individual skills, baseball fundamentals, team strategy and team competitions within a fun, energetic environment. 
 
Grades 1-4        9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Grades 5 – 8     1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Volleyball Camp

June 10 - June 13, 2019 (Monday - Thursday)
Cost: $125
 
Volleyball camp focuses on important key voleyball skills: serving, passing, hitting, setting and team rotations. Athletes fine tune their fundamentals while improving their effectiveness on the court. Instruction includes individual work on basic skills and team drills for players to gain a deeper understanding of the game.

Football Camp


Football Camp - Grades K-5

During Eagle football camp, players receive instruction in all aspects of football. This includes passing, rushing, receiving, line play, blocking and pass and run defense. Through our experienced coaching staff, campers learn the fundamentals and techniques necessary for each position. Sessions highlight small group and team competition. Campers are encouraged to have a week filled with fun and fellowship while gaining confidence in their football skills. This is a non-contact camp.


Football Camp - Grades 6-8

8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

During Eagle football camp, players receive instruction in all aspects of football. This includes passing, rushing, receiving, line play, blocking and pass and run defense. Through our experienced coaching staff, campers learn the fundamentals and techniques necessary for each position. Sessions highlight small group and team competition. Campers are encouraged to have a week filled with fun and fellowship while gaining confidence in their football skills. This is a non-contact camp.
 

Boys Basketball Camp

The camp session designed for boys in grades 1-4 focuses on fundamental skills development, including ball handling, passing, proper footwork, and defense. Campers learn to develop their game and become an all-around competitor. The camp session designed for boys in grades 5-8 focuses on the same skills development and adds defense along with a faster and more competitive pace.

Girls Basketball Camp

The camp session designed for girls in grades 1-4 focuses on fundamental skills development, including ball handling, passing, proper footwork, and defense. Softball Camp

During Eagle softball camp, players receive instruction in all aspects of softball. This includes throwing, fielding, hitting, base running and situational softball. Sessions highlight small group and team competition. Campers learn the fundamentals of the game while gaining confidence in their softball skills.

Boys Soccer Camp

Cost: $125
 

Soccer camp focuses on skills development including ball handling, passing and proper footwork. Instruction promotes correct soccer technique through shooting drills, technical and ball mastery, and team concepts. It is preferred that participants wear cleats and shin guards.
