Fifth grade students take an exciting field trip to Pine Cove Camp in Columbus, Texas. This field trip is devoted to leadership, team building and cooperation within the class. The students participate in ropes course activities to challenge the individual and the class as a whole.
Sixth grade students participate in a service project through their Bible class. This project is a visit to the Salvation Army Harbor Light Center. Each student takes part through song or testimony. Students present Bibles and clothing for the residents.
Seventh grade students, as a part of their Texas history class, conduct a tour of the Texas State Capitol and the Capitol Visitors Center in Austin, Texas. This field trip offers the students an educational experience in history, architecture and government.
Eighth grade students travel to Washington D.C. in order to experience our nation’s capitol. Students study the architecture, memorize the Gettysburg Address and become familiar with the city and its history. This week is spent visiting a number of sites including: the White House, the Capitol, United States Naval Academy, Holocaust Museum, Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, the Pentagon and much more.
