The SBS community came together for games, a carnival, fellowship and more during this year’s EagleFest.
On what is undoubtedly the most exciting day of the SBS school year, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends gathered for EagleFest 2017. High spirits and beautiful weather combined to make this EagleFest one for the books.
The day started in the Ripple Creek parking lot as SBC staff joyfully organized the student body for the EagleFest parade. From Alpha to Omega, students readied themselves for the parade and excitement of the Blue/Gold games that awaited in the E Gym.
“Let the games begin!” resonated throughout the gym, and the EagleFest games commenced. Students and faculty members fought fervently for the coveted EagleFest title. In the end, it was theBlue team that walked away champions. Before dismissing the students for the carnival, Dr. Williams drew for the lucky free tuition winner, Kendalyn Firenza ’23.
The SBS community spread out all over the campus for lunch and a full afternoon of fun. From hundreds of items in the silent auction to carnival rides, prizes and food, there was something for everyone. Upper school students competed in the infamous Powder Puff football and volleyball games. The junior boys walked away champs in the gym, while the senior girls dominated on the field.
Thank you to the EagleFest Chair Amber Fatheree and her exceptional EF committee. This year’s EagleFest was a huge success, raising almost $500,000!
