JOB DESCRIPTION.
The lower school administrative assistant is responsible for overseeing administrative tasks in the lower school office. This individual must be self-starting, independent and have a heart to provide exceptional customer service to all families. The lower school administrative assistant reports to the head of lower school.

To perform this job successfully, candidates must:

Be detail-oriented with proven time-management and problem-solving skills.

Have a strong work ethic with multi-tasking abilities and organizational skills.
JOB SUMMARY.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:
Providing excellent customer service to parents and all SBS families.
Reconciling daily attendance.
Maintaining lower school student records.
Arranging substitute teachers and/or class coverage for faculty.
Working with the facilities department regarding furniture and other classroom needs.
Managing lower school carpool and dismissal records.
Performing clerical responsibilities: answering phone, greeting visitors, responding to emails, assisting with attendance, generating/sending letters, and working with other school departments.
Supporting and coordinating details related to lower school events.
Ordering supplies for faculty as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
