Value and Honor On and Off the Course
The Second Baptist School golf program is both highly competitive and fun. Many players come to the program with a great deal of competitive golf experience while others come new to tournament golf. This program refines the players' games at all levels. Golf as a sport teaches life lessons and is built on honesty. These athletes learn how to play, how to practice and how to be accountable for his/her own game. The goal of the Second Baptist School golf program is to equip each player to play to his/her best and conduct him/herself in a respectful manner. Golf is available to male and female athletes in grades 7-12.

Coaches
Coach Murdock has been coaching golf at SBS since 2019 and also serves as the Upper School Administrative Assistant. She grew up in Austin, Texas and played golf at Westwood High School where she earned an individual State 5A HS Championship and 5A team Championship. Coach Murdock brings her robust experience to the SBS golf program. Coach Murdock was also a collegiate golfer at the University of Texas; she won a Southwest Conference Individual championship and helped her team finish as NCAA Runner-Up in 1993. Following her collegiate career, she was a professional golfer for five years, played on the Futures Tour, LPGA tour and competed in three U.S. Open tournaments.
