Fellowship with Our Engaging Community

The Distinguished Speaker Event is held each fall honoring our faculty and staff. The event serves as an outreach to the community as we include parents, grandparents, alumni and friends.

During this event, we also take the opportunity to honor an alumnus for their contributions and alumni parents for their support of Second Baptist School over the years. All proceeds from the annual event go directly to pay for Christmas bonuses for Second Baptist School faculty members and salary increases in the following year.

This year's Distinguished Speaker Dinner has received an overwhelming response. We are thrilled to announce that all tables have been purchased by generous underwriters, marking the first-ever sell-out in the event's eighteen-year history. As a result, we are unable to offer additional ticket sales as initially planned.

2023 Event Details

We invite you to join us on Sunday, October 29, 2023, to celebrate and thank our faculty for the incredible educational experience they provide for our students. Our community will hear from our Distinguished Speaker, Tim Tebow. 

Tim Tebow is a two-time national champion, Heisman Trophy winner, first-round NFL draft pick, and a former professional baseball player.

The five-time New York Times best-selling author, speaker, and football analyst is most passionate about his work with the Tim Tebow Foundation (TTF), whose mission is to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. The Tim Tebow Foundation is currently fighting for people who can’t fight for themselves in over 70 countries and counting through 4 primary ministry focuses (helping people with disabilities, orphan care, children with medical needs, and anti-human trafficking efforts) with 16 initiatives.

Tebow is married to Demi-Leigh Tebow, a speaker, influencer, entrepreneur, and Miss Universe 2017. Tim and Demi live in Jacksonville, Florida, with their three dogs, Chunk, Kobe, and Paris.
