High Energy Entertainment & School Leadership

The long-standing and excellent cheer program at Second Baptist School is exceptional in spirit, sport and character. Both varsity and junior varsity squads perform at pep rallies and games throughout the fall and winter seasons and the varsity squad competes at the TAPPS State Championship each fall. The SBS cheer program incorporates high level skills with traditional crowd leading to promote school spirit and leadership. The goal on the program is to encourage student athletes to lead, learn and love what they do. Cheer is available to female athletes in grades 9-12. Seventh and eighth grade female athletes may participate in Spirit (cheer/dance).

Coach Spence

"The most important part of being a coach is to be a mentor for my athletes. I strive to provide them with the proper guidance and encouragement to better themselves. When they master a new skill I want to be the first person to congratulate them and celebrate their accomplishments."
