Second Baptist School recognizes the financial commitment families choose to make by selecting a private Christian school for their children. SBS is privileged to offer need-based financial aid to qualifying families. Current SBS families and applicant families entering grades 1-12 may apply for financial aid.

  • 2021-22 School Year

    Online Application Opens - November 1, 2020

    Second Baptist School seeks to provide an exemplary Christian college-preparatory education to all our families. The school recognizes that the primary responsibility for financing a student's independent school education rests with the family. With this in mind, Second Baptist School is privileged to offer need-based financial aid to qualifying families who could not otherwise afford to attend. Aid is available for students entering grades one through twelve.

    Second Baptist School uses FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) administered by ISM (Independent School Management) to administer our online application process. FAST provides a consistent approach to determining a family’s tuition needs. Click the link above to begin the online application. Families provide financial information as well as responses to narrative questions that provide the financial aid committee a view of the family's overall need.

    Financial aid information is available beginning in November prior to the enrolling school year. Families must apply each year for financial aid consideration. The information includes timeline, instructions and the completion agreement.
  • Financial Aid Important Dates

    For current families:
    The financial aid application deadline for current families is December 1, 2020.

    Financial aid decision letters will be mailed by January 5, 2021. Financial Aid Award acceptance forms are due on or before February 1, 2021. Financial Aid Awards will be applied beginning with the June 2021 payment.

    For applicant families:
    The financial aid application deadline for applicant families is January 22, 2021

    To be eligible for financial aid, a student must first be invited to Second Baptist School. All decisions for financial aid will be mailed March 6, 2021. Financial Aid awards will be applied beginning with the June 2021 payment.

    Taxes:
    All tax forms are due by April 7, 2021.

    The preferred method of submission is logging in to FAST and uploading the documents to your profile. 

    Commitment: Students withdrawing after re-enrolling in the School will be charged half of the yearly tuition. Partial refunds will be given only to families moving over thirty (30) miles away or in the case of a catastrophic illness.

    I have read all financial aid documents, and I am aware of all policies regarding financial aid offered through Second Baptist School. As a part of the application process, the agreement below must be completed and submitted.
  • Financial Aid Webinar

    The financial aid webinar will be posted November 1, 2020. Director of Admissions Andrea Prothro will review the financial aid timeline, the steps to apply and answer common questions about how families qualify for financial aid.
