Senior Retreat Reflection from Head Prefect Mady Schmidt

Senior Retreat Reflection from Head Prefect Mady Schmidt

Senior retreat was so valuable to the class of 2026. Since I came in sixth grade, I’ve known this class was special. Kicking off high school with freshman retreat brought us together, but senior retreat felt like a full-circle moment.

The growth of myself and my grade was clear during free time because our class has become so comfortable with each other. It’s encouraging to see friend groups merge into a true community—where lunch tables change every day, prayer groups are co-ed, and ping-pong games are competitive between people who might not even be “best friends.”

My favorite part of senior retreat was the campfire devotional led by Mr. V, followed by receiving letters from loved ones. That moment made me realize this is really my last year. It encouraged me to make the most of it and reassured me that God has a plan for my future, with my family, teachers, and classmates cheering me on the whole way.

I’m excited for what senior year holds and can’t wait to see where God takes me and the rest of the class of 2026. :)
