Senior Celebrations - Class of 2022

Senior Celebrations - Class of 2022
The Class of 2022 took part in several time-honored and well-loved traditions this week, leading up to graduation. Many seniors have been waiting for traditions like these for years.
With excitement and anticipation, seniors gathered on the sixth floor of E Building to run the halls of SBS toward the fountain. Wearing their college shirts, seniors splashed, hugged and celebrated in the fountain, surrounded by family and teachers.
Lifer Jack Prothro ‘22 said, “I had a blast having the opportunity to participate in the Fountain Run as I had always heard and seen the grades before me do it. I’d been waiting for this moment for 14 years, and it was even more fun than I thought it would be!”

Following a day filled with senior milestones, including graduation practice, seniors gathered in the Second Baptist parking lots to continue a newer tradition – the senior car parade! With cars decked out in university colors, balloon streamers and creative decorations, seniors were beaming as they paraded in their vehicles with applause from the SBS family lining the route. Senior Emma Garcia shared, “It felt so amazing and rewarding to see the SBS community cheering us on during the parade! It was definitely a bittersweet and memorable moment.”
Riley Good ‘22 agreed, saying, “The car parade was a great experience to highlight and recognize the seniors and let us have fun together before graduation. It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”
