Second Sews Courage
In times of crisis, people often wonder how they can serve the community at large, but many do not know where to even start. Through Second Baptist Church’s Houston Courage initiative, people are making a difference by participating in Second Sews Courage to bless healthcare workers serving on the front lines during this battle against COVID-19.
Since its beginning, the Second Sews Courage team has been hard at work sewing face masks for healthcare workers and hospitals desperately in need. Anyone with a sewing machine, fabric and a desire to serve should sign up today.
Second Baptist Church reports, “We have been asked by Hospital Officials and Doctors to provide cloth face masks. The cloth masks can and will be used in a variety of ways by those in the healthcare industry, as well as other groups and individuals who serve in at-risk environments.
Our church has agreed to take on this challenge. Second Sews Courage is a simple way to mobilize the many people in our church family who can sew, and therefore can help us with this project. The goal is huge, and the need is great. If you are interested in helping serve on the Second Sews Courage Team, simply click the link below and fill out the form.
If you are interested in joining the Second Sews Courage team, please register today. If you know someone who sews and might want to join the efforts, share the sign-up link listed above.
When registering to help, be sure to include “SBS” in the name field upon registration (i.e. SBS John Smith). After registration, you will receive instructions on the next steps.
Join the #SBSfamily as we work together to serve our family and the Houston community.
