Second Baptist School Launches a New Website & Application

It is with great enthusiasm we share our newly updated secondbaptistschool.org. The website launch coincides with the anticipated release of the 2021-2022 school year application.

For the past two years, Second Baptist School’s web team gathered input from current families, volunteers, faculty and staff to provide a customized user experience. The primary purpose of the front end of the website is to serve as a marketing tool, reaching the external community. It is our goal to share SBS with prospective families and to create a desire to become part of the #SBSfamily through a digital experience. 

Head of School Dr. Don Davis supports this goal stating, “As we rely heavily on technology to enhance the educational experience of our students and families, the website must showcase SBS in a way that is in line with our core values.”

Website viewers are immediately welcomed into the caring school community with videos and pictures that tell the story of a Christ-centered and excellent educational experience. From drone footage of the campus to an immersive display on the arts and athletics pages, viewers can explore Second Baptist School like never before. The web team worked hand-in-hand with the communications department to ensure that the messaging and aesthetics matched the school’s brand our parents know and love. 

Current families can enjoy a new front-end experience with the website, but the back-end remains unchanged. There are future plans to continue addressing the parent/student experience with the website. It is a priority for SBS to provide our families with information that is useful and accessible — easy to navigate, digest and share. 

The mission of Second Baptist School is to equip students to think critically, live biblically and lead courageously. The web team embraces this mission and aims to prioritize digital parent communication over the next few years to ensure SBS remains a leader in technology, not only in the classroom but with our families as well. #SBStogether
