William Gregory Looser graduated from Second Baptist School in 1987 and is a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor University School of Law.

William Gregory Looser graduated from Second Baptist School in 1987 and is a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor University School of Law. Following law school, he served as Briefing Attorney to The Honorable Tom James of the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas, Texas.
Greg was with the law firm of Bracewell & Giuliani, L.L.P. prior to joining Pride International, Inc. as Assistant General Counsel in May of 1999. He became Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Pride in December 2003, was promoted to Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 2005, became Senior Vice President – Legal, Information Strategy and General Counsel in 2008, and was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer in August 2009. Pride International, Inc. is one of the world’s largest offshore drilling contractors with over 7,000 employees operating in 30 countries internationally.
In 2008, Greg served as President and Director of the Texas General Counsel Forum Houston Board. He is currently serving as Director of the Texas General Counsel Forum Statewide Board and Houston Board. In addition to his involvement with the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association, Greg served as Chair of the Professional Development Committee and for two years as Chair of the Corporate Counsel Committee of the Houston Young Lawyers’ Association. Greg is a Sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a Fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation and Houston Young Lawyers’ Foundation, serving for three four years as Chair (District 4) of the Corporate Counsel Subcommittee for the Texas Bar Foundation Nominating Committee. Additionally, he has served as a Trustee of the Houston Young Lawyers’ Foundation.
Greg is an active member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), serving on the Corporate Counsel Committee, Multinational Litigation Committee and Corporate Compliance and Integrity Committee. He has been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer by Law & Politics and Texas Monthly Magazines each year since 2004. In 2005, he was named as Best General Counsel Up and Comer by the Houston Business Journal. He has also been nominated for the 2009 Magna Stella Award for in-house excellence in leadership and management.
Greg was recently named as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House of Houston. Greg is an active member and deacon at Second Baptist Church. He is the proud husband of Beth Brock Looser, a 1985 SBS graduate and father of two daughters, Brock and Avery.
