Kindergarten Kindergarten Students will participate in an orientation period of book care and check out procedures prior to checking out books for the first time. Students will then be allowed to check out one book. They may keep the book for one week.
Grades 1 – 4 Students may check out three books at a time. They may keep the books for one week.
Grades 5 – 12 Students may check out up to 5 books at a time for a two week period.
Renewals Books may be renewed up to three times unless a hold has been placed on a book. Students must bring a book to the library in order to renew it.
Overdue Books Books are due two weeks from the day they are checked out for grades 5-12 and one week from the day they are checked out for grades K-4. Library notices for overdue books are distributed regularly.
Fines Students are given a two week grace period before a fine is charged. However, if the book is not returned within the two week grace period, a fine of .10 cents per book will be charged for each day the book was late.
Damaged and Lost Books If a book becomes lost or damaged, we ask that the student pay the current replacement cost so we can replace that book in our collection. If a book which has been lost and paid for is found, the student will receive a refund provided the book is in good condition and returned during the school year in which it was lost. |
